The Minnesota Prevention Resource Center Library serves the citizens of Minnesota by providing access to current, accurate and trustworthy information about alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and abuse prevention.


A full-time, professional Prevention Research Specialist is on staff to answer questions and provide reference and research services, using a variety of resources.

The library’s access to high-quality and research-based information can assist you with:

The MPRC Library is an affiliate member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (Greater Midwest Region) and a member of the Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists (SALIS) association.

MPRC’s Prevention Research Specialist is a member of several organizations that allow MPRC to access the most current news and research in ATOD prevention, library and information science, and related fields. These organizations include:
