Advocating for your clients and the communities you serve is an important part of your work, but it can be confusing and even a little scary if you don’t know what you can or can’t do. This training is intended to help attendees understand:
• What do we mean when we talk about advocacy?
• What kinds of limits or parameters should we keep in mind?
• Where do the limitations come from?
• How do organizations differ in what kinds of advocacy is allowed?
Bring questions, examples of how you engage in advocacy within your organization and be prepared to leave with a greater confidence in your ability to maximize the tools you have available to advocate for your clients and communities.
