Public Health Options for Local Regulation of Legalized Cannabis Products

Please join the Minnesota Regional Prevention Coordinators and the Public Health Law Center for the second in their series of four webinars on key public health and prevention issues regarding the new Minnesota law legalizing and commercializing adult-use recreational cannabis.

Description

This 60 minute session will address local authority for regulation of cannabis products (both Lower-Potency Edibles and other legalized cannabis) through a public health lens. Speakers include League of Minnesota Cities staff, Association of Minnesota Counties, and Public Health Law Center. Speakers will explore the parameters of local regulation and how jurisdictions may be allowed to regulate to promote public health and limit youth exposure and access.
