Implementing prevention strategies and building the community partnerships to be successful – it all involves a bit of persuasion. To many of us this can feel intimidating. Come build your confidence in persuasive communication and start to move past the fear of rejection through personalized coaching!
Receive feedback and pointers from a communication expert that are specific to your current needs. You might be preparing for a presentation for decision makers, a meeting with a prospective community partner, or pitching a new idea to your team – any scenarios are welcome. This cohort can accommodate 10 – 15 participants. Register while space is still available!
How will the coaching work?
Participants will work with David via an online training system for four weeks. You will be given a weekly assignment which elaborates on the principles introduced in the Persuasive Confidence webinar. You will submit each assignment with a short video, which David will review and respond to with coaching tips. Before the end of each week, you will be invited to submit a second video which incorporates David’s tips.
NOTE: The videos are not intended to be “performances.” It is simply a format for submitting assignments in the fastest and easiest manner. Each exercise will take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete.
Cohort concludes with in-person coaching on June 21
The Personal Coaching Cohort experience will culminate in an in-person workshop. David will coach each cohort member on the persuasive impact of the assignments completed online. In a rotation of role-plays, cohort participants will play the roles of community decision-makers, as well as themselves, replicating the types of conversations you may have when trying to build buy-in for prevention initiatives.
NOTE: This session is open to participants other than the online cohort; they will learn by observation.
Date: May 20 – June 21, 2019
Time: Participation occurs throughout each week; June 21 event will be 9:00am – 4:00pm
