About
Appropriate for anyone working in the field of substance abuse prevention, this interactive, case-based course invites participants to explore the six principles of the Prevention Code of Ethics. A four-step decision-making process, designed to help practitioners navigate the ethical dilemmas they face, will also be discussed and applied. This 8 hour course meets the ethics training requirement for prevention professional certification.
It is recommended that Ethics in Prevention participants complete the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) prior to this training or be currently working or volunteering in the field of substance abuse prevention.
This training is sponsored by the Association for Nonsmokers-Minnesota, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 6 total Category I continuing education contact hours. There are no advanced-level CECH available from this training.

Refund Policy
All refunds will be charged a 10% ($10) administrative fee for refunds. Refunds will issued up to 7 days before the training.
