1How will this year's conference be different from previous years?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to move this conference online, which is a first for us! Our goal is to preserve what made this conference great while also not being afraid to try new things. You’ll still experience the knowledgeable speakers, the engaging presentations, the sharing and networking opportunities but with the added twist of everything being virtual. This conference will include all new speakers and presentations, as well as new and improved networking opportunities, all from the comfort of your home.
2Where can I find more information on the keynote speakers and breakout sessions?

3What platform will you be using for the conference?
We have decided to use Sched because it is very user friendly, and offers all of the features we were looking for in a virtual event platform. Attendees will receive more information on how to access the event on Sched in late August.
4How long is each day of the conference?
The first day is 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM (CST). The second day is 9:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM (CST).
5How long are the sessions?
Keynote presentations are one and a half hours each, and breakout sessions are one hour each.
6Are all of the presentations live?
Most of the presentations will be live, with a few exceptions. All breakout sessions will be recorded and available to attendees for 30 days after the conference is over, so if you miss a presentation you really want to see you can go back and watch it!
7What if I can’t attend the whole conference?
All breakout sessions and one keynote will be recorded and available to attendees for 30 days after the conference.
8What networking opportunities will be available to me?
This conference offers several different networking and engagement opportunities. We offer “Meet Your Region” sessions where attendees from different organizations can connect over a casual Zoom meeting to drink coffee and network. Attendees will also be able to personalize their profiles on our virtual events platform, and can add a profile picture, links to their website and social media, and add a personal bio. Attendees will also have access to a Facebook Event page where they can share pictures of their home offices, share Minnesota prevention news and updates, and chat about engaging conference sessions. The conference will include fun engagement opportunities such as Conference Bingo where you have to complete different tasks to check off a box. Winners will get super fun prizes!
9Will this conference include exhibitors?
Unfortunately we have made the decision this year to not include exhibitors in order to focus solely on attendee experience while we navigate transitioning to a virtual conference for the first time. Don’t fret though- each attendee will be receiving a super fun box in the mail with conference promotional items, including hand sanitizer, a fuzzy blanket, and bluetooth wireless headphones. We love SWAG!

6What is the refund policy?
There will be a 10% administrative fee charged for all cancellations up to 7 days before the conference. Last day for refund requests is October 14th, 2020. No refunds will be issued after October 14th, 2020.

3What CEUs are available to me?
This conference is approved for credits through the MN Board of Social Work, CHES, and Minnesota Certification Board.
4What accommodations do you offer?
Sessions can accommodate closed captions for those hard of hearing. In addition each session will include a moderator who will be monitoring the chat so nonverbal people can participate in discussions. Need something else? Email email@example.com and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
